Imran Farooq murder case finally brought to conclusion: British High Commission
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Reacting to the verdict in the Imran Farooq murder case, the British High Commission has said that the long-drawn investigation has finally been concluded today.
A statement issued by the British High Commission said that the perpetrators were convicted after joint operations by the United Kingdom and Pakistan. Evidence from the London Metropolitan Police was used in court proceedings, it said.
The statement further said that Mohsin Ali was found guilty of murder and conspiracy against Imran Farooq while Muhammad Kashif was also convicted as a co-conspirator. Investigations against both the culprits proved to be linked to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and the investigation team confirmed that the killing was politically motivated.
