Plane with medical supplies donated by Pakistan armed forces reaches US

Mike Pompeo appreciated Pakistans goodwill donation of surgical masks and protective suits.

WASHINGTON (Dunya News) – A Pakistan Air Forces C-130 plane carrying personal protective equipment (PPE) gifted by Pakistan armed forces to US armed forces reached at the Andrews Air Base in Washington DC on Thursday, Dunya News reported.

The PPE including surgical masks and protective suits was received by Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Indo-Pacific Security Affairs, David Halloway.

Pakistan ambassador to the United States Asad Majeed Khan and other staff of Pakistan embassy was also present at the airport.

While appreciating Pakistan’s goodwill donation of surgical masks and protective suits, the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tweeted saying that “This delivery is a symbol of US-Pakistan solidarity in the fight against COVID-19. #WeAreInThisTogether #Partners4Prosperity.”

In response to Mike Pompeo’s appreciation, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Asad Majeed Khan said that Pakistan and the United States have always worked together to promote common interests and counter common challenges.
