Aleem Khan Calls on PM Imran, important departmental issues discussed
The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the Minister's performance
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Senior Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan called on Prime Minister Imran Khan today in Islamabad. The meeting discussed important departmental and other issues.
In the meeting, the Prime Minister discussed convening a meeting after Eid-ul-Fitr to bring new policies in the Punjab Food Department, which he would himself chair.
Abdul Aleem Khan briefed Prime Minister Imran Khan on the current wheat procurement procedure and proposed changes to make it better. He suggested that the method of giving subsidy on products such as flour and sugar should be changed so that it could benefit the general public instead of mills or other departments.
The senior minister also briefed Imran Khan on the actions taken against wheat hoarding in Punjab. The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the record purchasing of wheat in Punjab and especially appreciated the performance of Aleem Khan in this regard. The leaders also discussed important political and departmental matters during the meeting.
