PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Health Minister Taimur Khan Jhagra Wednesday said the province is conducting equal number of tests as Punjab which will further be increased to 3,000 per day.
The provincial minister said in a media briefing that we have entered a new phase regarding COVID-19. Lockdown is not a permanent solution to counter the pandemic but it has helped in improving the health department.
“160-200 new cases are being reported per day in the province for past ten days and 10-12 fatalities for two weeks. Six persons have died today.
“KP has provided 200 isolation facilities, 5,598 beds, 359 quarantine centers and over 550 ventilators. Precautions must be taken during Eid. 70 percent outbreak has been stopped by wearing masks.”
