PM said that we have to encourage people to adhere to SOPs and take precautions during the lockdown

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Today’s Federal Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan has reportedly agreed to further relax the nationwide lockdown.

According to sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan, while discussing the situation of coronavirus, said that he was not in favor of lockdown from day one and now, with the passage of time, it will be relaxed further.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan hinted that public transport and trains would soon be reopened after reaching a consensus with the provinces. He said that we have to encourage people to adhere to SOPs and take precautions.

According to sources, during the meeting, Special Assistant to PM for Information Asim Saleem Bajwa suggested the release of funds for an advertisement campaign, saying that billions of rupees have been distributed under the Ehsaas program, but it has not been publicized.

Asim Saleem Bajwa said that funds should be provided so that positive steps taken by the government could be advertised. The Prime Minister directed the concerned ministries to provide funds for said advertisements.
