Punjab Govt approves initial framework of 'Rise Punjab'
Usman Buzdar said that setting new priorities is the need of the hour
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab government has prepared a plan to promote development, business and new investments in the wake of coronavirus pandemic. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has approved initial framework of this plan with the name ‘Rise Punjab’.
Chairman Planning and Development has presented the framework document of ‘Rise Punjab’ to the Chief Minister. On this occasion, Usman Buzdar said that Punjab is the first province to formulate such a plan in view of the current situation created by coronavirus. He said that setting new priorities is the need of the hour.
The Chief Minister said that new steps would be taken with innovative thinking for development projects, business promotion and increasing investment in Punjab. Under ‘Rise Punjab’, a unique strategy for health, education and social security is also being formulated, he added.
He said that we have to work on innovative strategies to advance public welfare projects and social security must also be pursued with complete focus.
