CM Buzdar directs indiscriminate action against hoarders

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Sunday directed an indiscriminate crackdown against hoarders and profiteers.

The chief minister said this in his meeting with Minister for Industries Mian Aslam Iqbal who called on him.

During the meeting, Usman Buzdar said that not artificial hike in the prices of vegetables, fruits and pulses will be tolerated.

They also discussed matters pertaining to the provision of relief to people and procedure to distribute financial aid under the Ramzan package.

CM Buzdar said that deserving people will get direct financial aid under the Ramzan Package.

He directed the industry minister to check the prices of essential commodities and quality on a regular basis while district price control committees should take effective measures to stabilize prices of essential commodities.

Earlier today, the chief minister visited several places of the provincial capital without protocol and expressed anger over heavy traffic on the roads despite coronavirus lockdown.

He said that the people should take care of themselves and their loved ones from the deadly virus by staying at their houses.

Previously, Usman Buzdar said in his statement that the opposition parties have tried to divide people instead of supporting them in the tough time.

“Pakistan, along with the entire world, is facing uncommon circumstances due to the coronavirus pandemic and the Punjab government is also taking unprecedented measures to counter the epidemic,” he stated.

“The biggest financial program in the country’s history to provide relief to the poor is ongoing under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan,” he told.
