Heavy rain lashes Lahore, other parts of Punjab
Over 250 LESCO feeders tripped due to heavy rain and strong wind in Lahore on Friday.
LAHORE (Dunya News): Intermittent heavy rain accompanied by strong wing lashed Lahore and several other cities of Punjab on Friday, Dunya News reported.
Heavy downpour in different areas inundated roads and streets in the provincial capital of Lahore and residence faced immense difficulties as rainwater entered houses in low lying areas.
Over 250 LESCO feeders tripped due to heavy rain and strong wind in the city, resulting in power outage in various areas including Gulshan-e-Ravi, Samanabad, Rajgarh, Islampura, Yateem Khana, Gulbahar Town, Sher Shah Road, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Ravi Road.
Rain was also reported in Sahiwal, Wazirabad, Pir Mehal, Chishtian, Bahawalnagar, Lodhran, Dunyapur, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Pakpattan, Pindi Bhattian Kasur and several other cities of the province.
