KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho on Friday revealed that the province has been left with only 6,000 coronavirus testing kits, which were likely to last for 12 days.

In an interview to British news agency, the minister said, “We have a capacity of conducting 2,600 tests every day, but we are only holding 400 to 500 tests.”

We have also sought help from the centre regarding provision of coronavirus testing kits, she told.

On the other hand, Pakistan has reported 66 deaths from novel coronavirus while the total number of cases has surged to 4601.

2,279 patients have been tested positive for the epidemic in Punjab, 1128 in Sindh, 620 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 215 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 219 in Balochistan, 107 in Islamabad and 33 in Azad Kashmir.

So far, 727 patients have recovered in the country while 45 are in critical condition.
