ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Sania Nishtar, has said that many people are unable to operate mobile phones. The government will send volunteers to those daily-wagers and underprivileged people so they can be assisted in registering for the relief scheme.

Sania Nishtar said that the amount of twelve thousand rupees would be paid only once and all money will be transferred with utmost transparency. She said that we have been in touch with the Chief Secretaries for the past three weeks and the final lists have been compiled.

She said that since the money is to be paid to a large number of people, the payments will be made in phases to avoid crowds and congestion. Upon receipt of all applications, the confirmation message will be sent to the rightful people and a notification will be sent to Union Councils in phases.

Dr Sania Nishtar also said that many daily wagers have applied for the relief with total number of applicants standing at more than 34.5 million.
