 LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab government on Sunday increased financial aid of poor and deserving families following the special directions of Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar to provide relief to citizens amid coronavirus lockdown.

CM Buzdar said that the federal government and Punjab government are together in order to extend all out help to the masses being afflicted by difficulties.

He said PM Imran khan is fully ambitious and enthusiastic to extend all possible help to those coronavirus affected people owing to prevailing lockdown, adding that the prime minister has taken timely measures in order to effectively cope up with coronavirus.

The Punjab CM further said that getting financial assistance is the due right of deserving families in this hour of trial and difficulty.

“Punjab government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan will duly grant and return this right to the poor and deserving families,” he added.

On the special request of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, Prime Minister Imran khan has enhanced financial assistance amount for the deserving families and also increased financial aid from Rs4000 to Rs12000 for the 25 lac impoverished and deserving families.

The federal government along with Punjab government are striding side by side for extending financial assistance to the needy and deserving families with the joint collaboration of federal government’s Ehsaas Programme and Punjab government’s “CM Punjab Isaaf Imdad Package”.

Under both these programmes joint financial assistance payment will be made to the deserving families. The deserving persons after going through verification process of their documents will be paid Rs12000 lump sum.

The poor and deserving persons can submit their applications by April 7, while those who have already submitted applications need not to resubmit it again.
