ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf senior leader Asad Umar has said that government has succeeded in controlling spread of deadly coronavirus by imposing lockdown but economy took a hit from these restrictions.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, federal minister Asad Umar said that restrictions helped in controlling spread of the virus but masses in some areas are ignoring government orders.

He also praised doctors, paramedical staff and social workers for playing their role during these testing times. He also paid tribute to armed forces, police and Rangers.

He also informed that government has increased its coronavirus testing capacity and number of ventilators will also increase in coming days.
