Geo-tagging to be done to houses of people who returned from abroad: CM Buzdar

Buzdar said that the restrictions imposed by the govt are for the health and safety of citizens.

JEHLUM (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Thursday said that the directions have been issued for the screening of all those who have returned to the country from abroad.

He said this while visiting the quarantine center formed at Cadet College in Jehlum. During the visit the chief minister also reviewed the treatment facilities for the patients and other arrangements.

He said that the geo-tagging will be done to the houses of the people who returned from foreign countries.

The Punjab CM was apprised the 28 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in residents of Jehlum. He was told that 1327 people returned to Jehlum from abroad who have been re-screened while arrangements have been made to keep 552 patients in isolation.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Buzdar said that social distancing is necessary to prevent the coronavirus pandemic and keeping distance from one another will make lives safer.

The chief minister went on to say that the provincial government has taken timely steps to secure the lives of the citizens.

Buzdar further said that the restrictions imposed by the government are for the health and safety of citizens and will defeat the pandemic with the help of citizens.
