Coronavirus cases in KP rise to 23 as four new cases reported

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government spokesperson Ajmal Wazir Khan has said that four new cases of the coronavirus have surfaced in the province raising KP’s cases tally to 23. There are 92 suspected cases in the province, out of which 43 are awaiting test results.

Addressing the coronavirus situation in the province during a press conference, the spokesman said that of the four new cases reported, one hails from Mansehra, a 30-year old man from Khyber district, a 25-year old woman from Buner and another 30-year old man from tehsil Shabqadar.

Jaml Wazir also informed that around 250 pilgrims, who will be kept in Dera Ismail Khan, are yet to enter KP from Balochistan. He said that Chief Minister is personally over-looking the arrangements and the decisions taken by the government in this regard will be implemented.

He also said that officials are working around the clock to fulfill their national obligation. He said that hard times fall on nations and urged people to not panic amid the medical emergency.
