Firdous Ashiq Awan said that there are black sheeps within the bureaucracy
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan on Saturday said that political dwarves are talking about midterm elections. Prime Minister will complete his term.
Talking to the media at the Lahore Press Club’s program "Meet the Press", she said that the people chanting slogans of “vote ko izzat do” are moving towards their destination and with some political dwarves are talking about toppling government to raise their stature.
She added that the government will complete its term, fulfill the promises made to the people and remove the concerns of the coalition partners.
Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the statement of Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry is his personal opinion as there is freedom of expression in democracy. PTI always give space to cabinet members to voice their observations on its performance.
She said that according to data released by the Punjab government, DG Khan is at seventh place out of nice divisions of Punjab in terms of funds release, which means that six divisions were granted more funds than DG Khan.
She said that there are black sheeps within the bureaucracy who obstruct implementation of government’s manifesto and no officer has the right to abuse any person. PTI and Prime Minister Imran Khan consider media as their power.
Firdous Ashiq Awan further said that journalist’s associations raise concerns of journalists. The Lahore Press Club which is a trend setter is the mother of the Press Clubs all over the country. She also announced to inaugurate information center on her next visit.
He said that journalism has also been affected by the challenges facing the economy, but now the economy is coming back on its tracks and positive effects will be seen as the economy has moved from the ventilator to the ward. Prime Minister has declared 2020 as the year of public prosperity.
Firdous Ashiq Awan said Punjab is a big brother where most of the wheat is grown. Flour mills which stocked flour will be sealed and timely steps will bring down the price of flour.
