Dense fog again blankets plain areas in Punjab
Fog has paralysed routine life in several Punjab cities and disrupted flow of traffic on roads.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Dense fog again blanketed several cities of Punjab on night between Monday and Tuesday, paralysing routine life and badly disrupting the road traffic, Dunya News reported.
The Motorway sections from Lahore to Kala Shah Kako (M2) and Multan Motorway (M5) have been shut down as visibility was down to zero metres due to dense fog.
Dense fog has also disrupted flow of traffic at the National Highway in Lahore, Gujrat, Vehari, Pakpattan, Narowal, Zafarwal, Bahawalnagar and adjoining areas as visibility was very low.
The Motorway police have advised the drivers to switch on fog lights while driving at very slow speed as the visibility was dropped to zero metres due to dense fog.
The Motorway police have also requested the people to stay home and avoid unnecessary travelling.
The fog has also disrupted flight operation as Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport was shut down and flight operation was cancelled as thick fog dropped visibility down to zero.
