ATC rejected the physical remand of lawyers, and approved judicial remand instead
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Judge Arshad Hussain Bhutta of anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday sent eight more lawyers arrested in connection to Punjab Institute of Cardiology rampage, to jail on judicial remand.
Speaking to media, vice president of Supreme Court bar Ghulam Murtaza Chaudhry and lawyer Zaheer Anayat Malik said that police presented eight more lawyers after working hours of the court but failed to submit any investigation report.The police sought physical remand of the accused lawyers. However, the court rejected the physical remand of lawyers, and approved judicial remand instead.
They further told the media that bail pleas have been filed and the court after issuing notices to the parties adjourned the hearing till Tuesday.
