Bilawal hints at change of Prime Minister before amendment in Army Act

Bilawal Bhutto said that PPP will move court to seek bail for Asif Zardari on medical grounds.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday hinted at change of Prime Minister before constitutional amendment in Army Act to extend the tenure of Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Dunya News reported.

The PPP chairman stated this while addressing a press conference outside Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) after meeting his father Asif Ali Zardari.

Bhutto Zardari announced that the PPP has decided to move court to seek bail for the party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on medical grounds. The bail plea will be filed on Tuesday (today).

He said that the medical board constituted by the government has pointed out diseases of Asif Zardari, however, the former president had not allowed them to file petition seeking his bail on medical grounds.

The PPP chairman said that Zardari has heeded to the request of his sister Aseefa Bhutto to move court for his bail and now they will file a petition.

Bilawal went on to say that his party won’t back away from its ideology, adding that a rally would be held in Liaquat Bagh on December 27 to observe the death anniversary of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.
