Controlling inflation top priority: PM Imran
Imran Khan said his top priority is to resolve issues of masses.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman was telling his issues, however, inflation is the real issue of general public.
Federal cabinet meeting was held in Islamabad with PM Imran in chair. The meeting discussed matters pertaining to JUI-F’s sit-in and other issues.
Speaking on the occasion, the prime minister said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman was telling his issues, however, inflation is the real issue of general public.
“My top priority is to resolve issues of masses,” he said.
Sources said that Imran Khan directed the ministers to complete projects of their departments and also point out reasons behind inflation. “I will myself monitor all the measures taken to control inflation,” Khan said.
Regarding JUI-F’s anti-government sit-in, the prime minister said that the government’s negotiating team is looking into the matter and the issue will be resolved soon.
PM Imran further directed the ministers to accelerate their efforts against inflation as the controlling inflation is government’s top priority.
