Pak Army always supports democratically elected governments: ISPR DG
The ISPR DG said opposition should take its reservations to the concerned institutions.
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor on Friday said that Pakistan Army non-partisan institution and always supports democratically elected governments.
Talking to a private media channel, he said Army fulfilled its legal and constitutional responsibility in elections.
The ISPR DG said opposition should take its reservations to the concerned institutions instead of leveling allegations on roads.
Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman should tell which institutions was he referring to in his speech to Azadi March protesters.
He said that no one would be allowed to harm national stability, adding that all political parties should resolve their problem with in the limits of law and constitution.
The DG ISPR said: “There is still tensions along Line of Control (LoC) and one hundred thousands of Pakistan Army forces are performing their duties along LoC and two hundred thousands along the western border.”
