Govt trying to make tax system transparent: PM Imran
Increasing the tax net will reduce the burden of additional taxes on taxpayers, said PM Imran.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan met Chairman FBR Shabar Zaidi and Chairman NADRA Usman Yousaf Mobin today (Oct. 25) to discuss the steps needed to increase the tax net in Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, PM Imran expressed that in order to provide better facilities to the people, it is necessary to increase the tax net. “Increasing the tax net will reduce the burden of additional taxes on taxpayers”, he added.
Premier Khan said that it would ensure the provision of education, health and other facilities in remote areas. “Tax payment is a national duty”, he said adding that restoring confidence of the taxpayers is of paramount importance.
He asserted that the government is trying to make the tax system transparent, so that every patriotic citizen can contribute to the development of the country.
