JUI-F's Akram Khan Durrani files bail plea in assets case

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Opposition’s Rahbar Committee convener Akram Khan Durrani on Tuesday has filed bail plea in assets beyond income case.

According to details, the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader has requested the court to bar National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from arresting him.

Earlier, Balochistan High Court (BHC) had granted protective bail to former Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for 15 days.

On October 7, Leader of the Opposition in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Akram Khan Durrani appeared before the NAB Rawalpindi to record his statements in an inquiry against him on corruption charges and for allegedly accumulating assets beyond his known sources of income.

The anti-corruption watchdog had ordered Durrani to present record and details of assets owned by him and his family members including wife and children.
