Light rain in Lahore turns weather pleasant
Rain with gusty winds was also reported from other parts of Punjab.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Light rain in Lahore and its adjacent areas in on late Thursday night turned the weather pleasant, Dunya News reported.
Rain was also reported from other parts of Punjab including Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad and Rawalpindi divisions.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, a shallow westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of the country. Another westerly wave is likely to approach western parts of Balochistan on Sunday.
The Met Office has predicted rain with gusty winds during next 24 hours at scattered places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Bannu, D.I.Khan divisions), Quetta, Zhob, Sibbi divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan, while at isolated places in upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions), Bahawalpur, D.G.Khan divisions and Islamabad. Hot and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
