Light rain in Lahore turns weather pleasant

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Light rain with gusty winds in Lahore and its adjacent areas in on late Tuesday night turned the weather pleasant, Dunya News reported.

Rain was also reported from other parts of the country including Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Bannu, D.I. Khan, Quetta, Zhob, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, a fresh westerly wave is affecting western and upper parts of the country and may persist for next 24 hours.

Met Office predicted mainly hot and dry weather in most parts of the country, while very hot in South Punjab and Sindh during the next 24 hours. However, dust-thunderstorm/light rain with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Quetta, Zhob, D.I Khan, D.G Khan, Multan, Sargodha, Sukkur, Larkana, Rawalpindi divisions, Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas.
