Zulfikar Ali Bhuttos immense contributions are praiseworthy and thought-provoking.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the role and contribution of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (ZAB) after the founder of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah is vast and exemplary and hence despite that his martyrdom dates back to forty years, he is alive in hearts and minds of the masses. Even the anger of the masses on his cold blooded judicial assassination is as same and high as it was on his day of martyrdom.

In his message on 40th Yaum-e Shahadat of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Bilawal while paying very rich tribute to him said that at one hand the founder of Pakistan changed the course of the history while at the other the Quaid-e-Awam paved a way forward for democratic revolution and created immense awareness for the democracy and its blessings due to which the Chauvinist, anti-democracy and radical forces would always find it difficult to impose their anti-democratic agenda or rule over the country. Besides, there are countless voices for the democracy and rule of the people despite that they are victimized and vandilised time and again.

He said that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s immense contributions on the forefront of politics, diplomatic, economic and international affairs are praiseworthy and thought-provoking.

The PPP chairman said that since Zulfikar Ali Bhutto always believed in consensus hence he gave a unanimously approved Constitution of 1973, which was indeed, a manifest of real consensus. The motive behind his gigantic efforts for Pakistan-China friendship was laid in that very characteristic of his inspiring personality. Sino-Pakistan relations have turned into a practical aspect of one body and two souls. As well, the First Islamic Summit had opened venues for Pakistan for leading the entire Muslim Ummah.

Bilawal went on to say that even today, we are waiting to see the justice is dispensed because Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was judicially assassinated. A reference that was signed by the former President Asif Ali Zardari is still being treated with slackness in corridors of the country’s apex court and despite repeated reminders and demands; the justice is still not yet done.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the present situation that has prevailed over the country calls for the supremacy of the Parliament and efforts are required to take the respect of law and the constitution ahead because it is all that revolves around the ideology of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

On the other hand former president and Pakistan Peoples’ Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari in his message said that the fight against oppressing forces will continue.

He said that no power in the world can change their thinking, adding that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (ZAB) had defeated the oppressing forces by teaching how to live with our head high.

Zardari went on to say that the defeated oppressing forces not only targeted the PPP leadership but also the masses, adding that the ZAB built a free and independent country.
