Funeral prayers offered for Pakistan Army soldier Abdur Rub

DG KHAN (Dunya News) - Funeral prayers for Pakistan Army soldier Abdur Rub, who embraced martyrdom yesterday while returning fire to Indian posts firing across the Line of Control (LoC), were offered on Sunday in Taunsa Sharif with full military honours.

Funeral prayers for another soldier Naik Khurram Ali have been delayed and would be held around 4pm today as his brother Naik Rameez Ali is being awaited. Naik Rameez Ali has been performing his duty for Pakistan armed forces in Siachen Glacier.

A large number of people belonging to different sections of the society participated in the funeral prayer of Abdur Rub and chanted full-throat slogans “Pak Fauj Zindabad” in support of Pakistan armed forces for sacrificing their lives for the motherland.

Yesterday, both soldiers fought bravely at Nakiyal Sector while responding to Indian posts which had been undertaking fire on civilian population of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

Both of them hailed from Dera Ghazi Khan (D.G Khan) district of Punjab.
