Who was the woman standing next to Abhindnan?
Many people raised question to know who the lady was when Abhinandan was being sent back to India.
(Web Desk) – In the visuals of returning of Indian Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, who was captured after a dogfight in sky between PAF and IAF, could be seen that Indian pilot was walking towards the gate of Wagah Border with a lady.
But the question that burst in the minds of many people on both sides of the border was; who was the woman walking next to Abhinandan.

The lady is Dr Fariha Bugti, Director on Indian Affairs in Pakistan’s Foreign Office. Dr Bugti is an Foreign Service Pakistan (FSP) officer and is in charge of handling India related affairs at the Foreign Office.

She is also one of the main Pak officials handling the case of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav, who is in Pakistan’s captivity.
Ms Fariha Bugti was also present during Jadhav’s meeting with his mother and wife in Islamabad last year.

She joined Foreign Office in 2005 and has also served as assistant director of the Foreign Office spokesperson in 2007.
