Three children among eight killed in rain-related mishaps

Widespread more rain/thunderstorm (with snowfall over hills) is expected in parts of the country.

MULTAN (Dunya News) – At least eight people lost their lives including three children in rain-related incidents in different areas of the country on Wednesday night.

According to details, roof of a dilapidated house situated at Badhla Road in Multan collapsed due to heavy rain in the city, burying at least six persons under the debris.

Rescue teams reached the spot and retrieved four dead bodies from the rubble while two persons were rescued alive in injured condition.

In Rajanpur’s Rojhan area, roof of a laborer‘s house caved in and killed husband and wife while two people sustained severe wounds.

Separately in Sheikhupura, couple lost their lives in a roof collapse incident.

As per Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), widespread more rain/thunderstorm (with snowfall over hills) is expected in Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, while at scattered places in Malakand, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions.

Cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
