Intermittent heavy rain inundates parts of country

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The intermittent torrential rain on Thursday has inundated parts of Punjab Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan.
According to details, flood condition created in Quetta, Makran Division and Lesbela while communication contact disconnected in Awaran area.
The local administrations in rain-hit areas have sought Pakistan Army’s assistance to deal with the situation.
As per Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), widespread more rain/thunderstorm (with snowfall over hills) is expected in Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, while at scattered places in Malakand, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions.
Cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
