Maria Fernanda says United Nations values Pakistans role in the war against terror.

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday thanked the United Nations General Assembly President Maria Fernanda Espinosa Garces for acknowledgment and contributions as part of UN.

In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), UNGA President Maria Fernanda met the COAS and discussed matters pertaining to mutual interests and overall security situation of the region.

During the meeting, the UN General Assembly President said that the United Nations values Pakistan’s role in the war against terror and efforts to resolve the regional issues.

Maria Espinosa acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan army’s contributions for United Nations in maintaining peace, stability and rehabilitation in conflict zones.
