Lahore: Goods transporters stage strike
Goods transporters went on strike in Lahore in protest against unjust behaviour of traffic police.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – All goods transporters went on strike in Lahore on Thursday in protest against the unjust behaviour of traffic police and district administration, Dunya News reported.
Goods transporters said that we are continuously raising our voice and have repeatedly tried to convey our demands to authorities, but no government department is willing to resolve our issues.
The protesting transporters said that it has become a habit of traffic wardens to penalise truck drivers without any traffic violation and issue challans.
They said that we are fed up with the undue challans and highhandedness of the traffic police and other provincial agencies. The goods transporters threatened to continue their strike if their demands were not met.
