Giving remarks and declaring a verdict are two different things, he added.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Accountability Barrister Shahzad Akbar on Tuesday said that probe in case pertaining to fake bank account case is yet to be carried out and more evidences could be traced.

Speaking exclusively in Dunya News programme “Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath”, he said that Joint Investigation Team is just a first inquiry, adding that the Supreme Court didn’t raise any question on it but gave remarks on the issue of Exit Control List (ECL).

Giving remarks and declaring a verdict are two different things, he added.

Akbar maintained that the apex court had only directed to remove Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto’s name from ECL and not given him a clean chit.

“Bilawal became the shareholder of the company after 2007. NAB can take action against him,” he articulated.

“The Supreme Court has not given any remarks in Asif Ali Zardri’s case although the entire issue revolves around him. The benfit of the entire business is being reached to Zaradri directly from Omni group,” he said.

Following the orders of SC, federal government on Monday announced to remove names of Bilawal Bhutto and Chief Minister of Sindh (CM) Murad Ali Shah from Exit Control List.
