Fawad sees Zardari, Faryal and Murad in prison
SC gave the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) two months to complete its investigation
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry on Monday said that Supreme Court is not a trial court and today’s verdict in case pertaining to fake bank accounts is like the apex court pronounced in Panama papers case.
Speaking exclusively at Dunya News programme “Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath”, he said that a JIT had been constituted in Panama case, adding that the top court gave the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) two months to complete its investigation and present a report.
Chaudhry went on to say that the Supreme Court’s order didn’t mention that Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Sindh CM Syed Murad Ali Shah could not be investigated.
He said: “The entire spectrum revolves around the Sindh CM, adding that we have repeated our demand of Murad Ali Shah’s resignation.”
The documents are speaking in the JIT, the minister said and added he thinks Asif Zardari’s politics would end the way former prime minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif’s politics has ended.
He said: “It would be difficult for the former president, his sister Faryal Talpur and Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah to survive, adding that Bilawal has the right to continue his political career.”
