Khursheed Shah objects to opposition members' meeting with NAB chief
The PPP leader said that the NAB chairman would do whatever law tells him to do.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Former leader of opposition and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader Syed Khursheed Shah on Friday while opposing the meeting between members of opposition and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal.
In his informal discussion on Friday, he said that the members of parliament going to NAB chairman for meeting is ludicrous, adding that going to the NAB chairman’s office would desecrate Parliament’s reputation.
The PPP leader said that the NAB chairman would do whatever law tells him to do. “We must amend the constitution if we have majority,” he added.
Shah went on to say that the parliament gave authorities to the NAB chairman.
It would have been better if National Assembly Speaker had summoned NAB chairman, he said and added an in-camera briefing would have been taken from him.
