Reins of country are in hands of inexperienced person: Bilawal

Bilawal was addressing a rally held on the 11th death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto.

GARHI KHUDA BAKHSH (Dunya News) - Chairperson of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Thursday adopted an aggressive tone saying that the reins of the country are in the hands of inexperienced.

Addressing a rally held on the 11th death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto, Bilawal asserted that the foundation of federal government have become fragile.

“The selected PM does not know that a spark can reduce everything to ashes. Listen with open ears, we will fight the conspiracies,” he declared.

“These people cannot frighten me with so called and one-sided accountability. We have seen Musharraf, Saif-ur-Rehman, Zia-ul-Haq being held accountable,” PP chairman maintained.

Bilawal accused Khan for seeking control over the resources of provinces.

“We are being pressurized for gaining support on 18th amendment. But we will not turn treacherous with the graves of martyrs,” he said. 


Zardari lashes out at rivals


PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari also lashed out at the party’s political rivals during his address. Reportedly, he vowed to fight against them in courts and everywhere else with full force and strength.

He criticized the policies of the incumbent government, and claimed that such policies were ineffective for betterment and prosperity of the nation.

Moreover, he asserted that the party would form the government again, however following democratic norms.

“Despite of having financial support from foreign and friendly countries, the government has been unable to resolve critical issues of the country,” he said.

He reiterated his resolve to fight and said “We all Bhuttos are ready to fight against you.”

“They could not perform in the first 100 days of the government, whereas we had issued the Benazir income support cards to the poverty-stricken families and ousted Pervez Musharraf from power,” he further said.

He said that the PPP was enough for all of its rivals together, and the party was not afraid of any of them.

“Bilawal is my and Benazir’s son, how can you scare him?” he asked.
