Family pleads with Punjab govt to cancel Basant festival

LAHORE: The family of a four-year-old child Mahrukh, whose throat was slit by a kite twine, has been suffering from pain and sorrow for the last nine months in Samanabad area of Lahore.
Meanwhile, the Punjab government has given the green light to the Basant festival.
The victim’s family has expressed its displeasure and pleaded with the provincial government to withdraw its decision as it has put several lives at risk.
