Fawad Ch condemns torture on cameraman
The minister said that the government fully believes in freedom of expression
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry on Monday strongly condemned violence on a cameraman of a private TV channel by a guard of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the premises of Parliament House in Islamabad.
In a statement, he said that Nawaz Sharif did not bother to stop even after the cameraman was injured.
The minister said that the government fully believes in freedom of expression and is standing with media workers.
Fawad Chaudhry also sought detail of the incident from the journalists. He said legal action will be taken against the responsible.
