KDA to launch anti-encroachment drive against KCR today

KDA will take steps to clear all encroachments in Gharibabad colony of Haydrabad.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Following the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan the Karachi Development Authorities (KDA) will start anti-encroachment operation in Gharibabad today (Tuesday) to revive the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR).

According to details, KDA will take steps to clear all encroachments in Gharibabad colony of Haydrabad, in surroundings of the KCR track which is included in the project.

The court has given time to evacuate the shops of illegal furniture market constructed on the land of KCR.

Earlier, KDA had kicked off anti-encroachments operation to remove the illegal constructions inside the Al Asif Square Super Highway, Empress Market and expanded the operation to demolish unplanned buildings in Kabari market and Jahangirabad.
