Peace in Afghanistan is in the best interest of Pakistan: Qureshi
Zalmay Khalilzad briefed the FM on the US President's letter written to PM Imran
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Tuesday assured that Pakistan will continue its cooperation with fair intentions for political reconciliation in Afghanistan.
Talking to US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said that peace in Afghanistan is in the best interest of Pakistan.
On the occasion, Zalmay Khalilzad briefed the foreign minister regarding the US President Donald Trump s letter written to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Qureashi said that the prime minister has welcomed US President Donald Trump s letter seeking Pakistan s cooperation for reconciliation process in Afghanistan.
This is the second visit of Zalmay Khalilzad to Pakistan in his current capacity.
