Int'l Day of Persons with Disabilities being observed

The aim of observing this day is to promote rights and well-being of persons with disabilities.

LAHORE (Web Desk) – International Day of Persons with Disabilities is being observed across the world today (Monday).

This year theme of the day is "empowering persons with disabilities and ensuring inclusiveness and equality".



The aim of observing this day is to promote rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development. The day also raises awareness about situation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.



Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said that the government is taking steps for the progress and welfare of special people and specific policy is being devised in new Pakistan to provide them with their rights.

In his message on International Day of Persons with Disabilities, he said that the purpose of observing this day is to devise comprehensive measures to turn disable persons into useful citizen.
