Opposition parties played responsible role during sit-ins: Ahsan Iqbal
Ahsan Iqbal said that 12,000 megawatt electricity was produced by the PML-N government.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Former interior minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ahsan Iqbal on Monday has said that his party’s government and today s condition cannot be compared as both circumstances have big differences.
Speaking exclusively at the Dunya News programme “Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath”, the former minister said that opposition parties had played a responsible role during sit-ins while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan was involved in adding fuel to the fire during Faizabad sit-in.
The PML-N leader further added that opposition was given time at the national television channel during their tenure while PTV Parliament project was also initiated by the PML-N government.
Regarding power projects and cabinet meetings, Ahsan Iqbal said that 12,000 megawatt electricity was produced by the PML-N government and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had held cabinet meetings each week during his eight months in office.
