ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday found itself embroiled in yet another controversy as nephew of Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri has been framed in robbery case.

As per details garnered, Zulkafal Qadri and his armed guards allegedly snatched luxury vehicle worth Rs15 mln from son of a local trader identified as Amjad Saeed in Islamabad.

Minister s nephew

Saeed—in the First Investigation Report (FIR)—also alleged that his son was subjected to brutal torture by the minister’s nephew and armed guards. He added that attackers tried to abduct his son.

The FIR was lodged in Shalimar Police Station of the federal capital.

Responding to the allegations, the federal minister confessed that Zulkafal was his nephew. Qadri claimed that his nephew wasn’t involved in any robbery case.

Back then in August, PTI’s MPA Imran Shah—who won Sindh Assembly’s seat from Karachi—and his guards had mercilessly and brutally slapped a man.

The man was allegedly beaten over bypassing the protocol of Imran Shah.

PTI—during its election campaign—had advocated against VIP culture, movement and protocol.
