MQM money laundering case: Federal law minister appears before FIA

On November 11, the anti-terrorism wing of FIA had issued notices to 726 people.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Law Justice Barrister Muhammad Farogh Naseem on Tuesday appeared before Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in money laundering case against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

As per details garnered, over Rs1 bln had been submitted in accounts of Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation, a charity organization of MQM.

Sources privy to FIA told our correspondent that amount was used by anti-state elements for hostile motives. The same amount was used to bear expenses of MQM founder in London.

On November 11, the anti-terrorism wing of FIA had issued notices to 726 people.

All those mentioned in the notices were directed to contact FIA Islamabad office. All notices were issued to either present or former MQM’s members.
