PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The funeral prayers of Army Captain Zarghaam, who embraced martyrdom while neutralising an Improvised Explosive Device (IEC) in Mohmand, was held at Peshawar Cantt on Wednesday.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman, Corps Commander IGFC KP Lieutenant General Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor, provincial ministers and large number of other civil military officials attended the funeral prayers.

The remains of the martyred army officer were sent to his native town for burial.

Earlier, Capt Zarghaam Fareed embraced martyrdom while neutralizing an IED detected at Mohmad Gat in Mohmand Distt. The 25 years old was unmarried and belonged to Sargodha.

ISPR DG Major General Asif Ghafoor informed on Twitter, “Another son of soil laid his life while performing duty. Capt Zarghaam Fareed embraced martyrdom while neutralising an IED detected at Mohmad Gat in Mohmand Distt.”

He wrote, “Sepoy Rehan of bomb disposal team got critically injured. 25 years old Capt Zarghaam was unmarried and belonged to Sargodha.”
