PM Khan says no military solution to Yemen dispute

Khan added that peace in Yemen is vital for regional stability.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Wednesday reiterated that there was no ‘military solution’ to Yemen dispute while stressing on all stakeholders to adopt the path of dialogue.

The premier made these remarks during meeting with Mohammed Mohatar Alashabi, envoy of war-torn Yemen.

The Yemini envoy felicitated Imran Khan on becoming Pakistan’s premier and extended heart-felt wishes for the success of incumbent government. He told premier that Yemen wants to see Pakistan progressing and developing whereas he also briefed PM Khan on the current situation of his country.

While expressing his desire for lasting peace in end of violence, Khan apprised envoy that Pakistan would continue to support resolution of United Nations for immediate restoration of peace in Yemen.
