He says a detailed strategy has been devised to root out corruption

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal on Wednesday said that the corruption is just like a cancer for the country and the anti-graft watchdog was striving to eliminate corruption from its roots.

A meeting was held at the anti-graft agency’s headquarters with Bureau’s chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal in chair. The meeting reviewed ongoing inquiries, cases and performance of the institution.

Speaking on the occasion, the NAB chairman said that the bureau was striving to eradicate corruption from the country, adding that the corruption is a cancer for the country.

He said that a detailed strategy has been devised to root out corruption.

Justice (r) Javed Iqbal said that the bureau is implementing on “Accountability for all”, adding that the increase in the number of complaints against corruption is an evidence of NAB’s performance.
