Population Welfare workers vow to continue protest
Sit-in protest of Population Welfare workers in front of Lahore Civil Secretariat entered second day
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The sit-in protest of Population Welfare workers on the call of All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) in front of Lahore Civil Secretariat entered second day on Wednesday day, Dunya News reported.
The protesting Population Welfare workers are demanding of the government to regularize the service of 3700 contracted employees across Punjab.
Sources said that the protesters have vowed to continue their sit-in protest until their demands are met. A number of women workers also with their children are participating in the sit-in protest.
Sources further informed that the protesters have threatened to shift their sit-in protest to the Mall road if their demands were not accepted by 12:00noon today (Wednesday).
