ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan will preside over meeting of the federal cabinet in Islamabad tomorrow (Thursday).

The federal cabinet meeting has been summoned to review issues regarding eight-point agenda and restructuring of Radio Pakistan Board. During the meeting, the prime minister will also take the cabinet members into confidence over his upcoming visit to China.

PM Khan has expressed intentions to focus on acquisition of technology from china in his upcoming visit, so that the country could stand on its own feet and may not seek financial assistance from others.

Earlier on October 30, PM Khan visited Lahore where he met the members of the provincial cabinet including Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar to discuss political, administrative, and economic matters of the province.

He appreciated the Punjab government’s initiative to introduce shelter homes and inns in various districts of the province and directed departments concerned to continue with its anti-encroachment drive against land mafias.

PM warned his ministers against negligence pertaining to professional matters. “We have to deliver on our promises. Our priorities must be public welfare. Opposition can only cause delays,” he said.

Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on the occasion briefed the Prime Minister Khan on the steps taken by the provincial government for implementation of 100 Days Agenda.

Usman Buzdar also briefed the prime minister about progress on the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme in Punjab.

Talking to the PTI Punjab members during his official visit to Lahore, Imran Khan said the joint opposition had no moral stance to back its protest movement against the government.

During the official visit he also met Punjab Assembly Speaker Pervaiz Elahi and Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar and discussed various matters.
