The Young Doctors Association (YDA) continued its strike on Wednesday as its talks with the Punjab government came to a deadlock.The emergency wards in the government hospitals in Punjab were closed for eight days and the doctors were not attending the outpatient departments since March 1.Denouncing doctors for committing negligence from their duties, the patients are lamenting about the indifferent attitude of the government.The government recruited new doctors for emergency wards of the Allied Hospital, Civil Hospital, General Hospital and the Institute Cardiology in Faisalabad. Addressing a press conference in Lahore, the YDA representatives said that they had shown flexibility, the government should also change its course of action.
