Summary At least 0.2 million citizens are facing problems due to delay in issuance of their passports.
These passports are delayed from several months by the Passport Immigration Cell. Common men, businessmen and overseas Pakistanis are facing problems and there jobs are also in danger. According to passport officials, main reason of delay in issuance of passports is fault in printers and unavailability of lamination. They said that they were receiving at least 9,000 applications for passports daily.
